New Delhi, Dec. 4 -- The ministry of information and broadcasting (I&B) has accepted the resignation of Navneet Kumar Sehgal as chairman of Prasar Bharati, the country's public broadcaster, according to an official letter dated December 3, 2025. Sehgal had taken over the role about 20 months ago, on March 16, 2024. In the letter, seen by HT, the ministry stated that it was referring to Sehgal's notice dated December 2, 2025, in which he submitted his resignation. A senior official at the Prasar Bharati too confirmed to HT that Sehgal's letter of resignation was received on December 2, and the government had accepted it.
