India, June 28 -- Online registration process for the University Grants Commission (UGC) Ishan Uday Scholarship for North East Region (NER) is underway. Eligible and interested candidates can apply for the UGC Ishan Uday scholarship up to October 31 on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP), scholarsips.gov.in.

Under this scheme, ten thousand scholarships are awarded every year to students belonging to the economically weaker section of the Northeast region at the rate of Rs.8,000 per month for ten months.
