wASHINGTON, July 4 -- The US House of Representatives on Thursday passed President Donald Trump's signature, sweeping tax-cut and spending bill, dubbed the "One Big Beautiful Bill." The legislation will now head to the President's desk for approval, in what will be the first major legislative victory of his second term. The bill would extend Trump's 2017 tax cuts, cut healthcare and food safety net programmes, fund the president's immigration crackdown, and eliminate many green-energy incentives. It also includes a $5 trillion increase in the nation's debt ceiling, which lawmakers must address in the coming months to avert a devastating default.P15
