Dehradun, Oct. 16 -- Uttarakhand government on Wednesday submitted a 78-page affidavit before the Uttarakhand high court listing the proposed amendments in the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) Rules 2025, following which counsels representing nearly a dozen petitioners sought time to study the amendments. The court fixed November 10 as the next date of hearing in the matter. The division bench of chief justice G Narendar and justice Subhash Upadhyay was hearing a batch of petitions challenging various provisions of UCC.
