India, Feb. 15 -- Two students studying at Ashoka University in Sonepat, Haryana were found dead late on Friday night, police officers said.

The first student - from Telangana, who was pursuing his undergraduate degree from the university - allegedly died by suicide after jumping from the 10th floor of the university's building, police said. The second student, a resident of Bengaluru, was found unresponsive near the university's main gate, and was rushed to hospital by the varsity's infirmary team, but was declared dead on arrival.

Sonipat deputy commissioner of police (crime) Narender Kadiyan said investigators recovered a purported suicide note from the room of the first student.
