New Delhi, Jan. 27 -- A 33-year-old Delhi Police head constable had a narrow escape after being overpowered by two unidentified men who snatched his service pistol and fired at him inside the Rose Garden in south Delhi's Hauz Khas, police said on Monday. The alleged incident took place around 2 pm on Thursday when head constable Raj Kumar Yadav was on patrol duty. Police said he was informed that two men, aged between 35 and 40, were allegedly consuming narcotic substances near the walking track inside the park. According to investigators, Yadav told them that he approached the duo to question them, they abused him and one of the men snatched his service weapon.
