Two Maoists killed in C'garh encounter
Raipur, Aug. 14 -- Two Maoists, including a senior leader, were killed on Wednesday in an encounter with security forces in Chattisgarh's Mohala-Manpur-Ambargarh Chowki district, police said.
The encounter took place in the Bandi Pahad area under Madanwada police station's jurisdiction, said district superintendent of police (SP) YP Singh.
"The encounter broke out during an anti-Maoist operation and lasted for several hours inside the jungle. Once the exchange of fire subsided, a search of the area led to the recovery of the bodies of two slain Maoists," said Singh.
