Ahmedabad, July 26 -- Two people died and three others sustained injuries after a SUV rammed into vehicles and pedestrians in Gandhinagar, Gujarat on Friday, police said, adding that they have arrested the driver of the speeding SUV.
The incident took place on a service road in the Randesan area of Gandhinagar when a SUV, driven by Hitesh Patel (35), struck pedestrians and two-wheelers, SP Ravi Teja Vasamsetty said. "It appears he was travelling at more than 80 kilometers per hour," the SP said
Based on preliminary investigation, officials said that Patel was not under the influence of any substance.htc
