two killed in blaze at house in east delhi's Old Govindpura
New Delhi, July 16 -- At least two people were killed and two others injured after a fire broke out in a four-storey building in Old Govindpura near Jagatpuri in east Delhi on Tuesday night, officials said.
According to police and fire department personnel, 10 people were trapped inside the building when the fire started. Rescue teams managed to safely evacuate six individuals without injuries, while four others suffered burn injuries by the time they were rescued.
The injured were rushed to Hedgewar Hospital, where two of them were declared brought dead. The deceased were identified as Tanveer and Nusrat, while the injured were identified as Faizal and Aasif, said deputy commissioner of police (Shahdara) Prashant Gautam.
