Two killed after fire ravages C Delhi department store
New Delhi, July 6 -- A 30-year-old man was charred to death while a 25-year-old died of asphyxiation after a fire broke out at a five-storey department store in central Delhi's Karol Bagh on Friday evening, officials from the fire and police departments said. At least 93 people, including staff members, were inside the store, a Vishal Mega Mart outlet, when the blaze started, police said. Thirty-year-old Pawan Gautam, who was one of the customers at the shop, got trapped on the second floor of the building and his charred body was recovered on Saturday afternoon after the rescue operation concluded, they added.
