New Delhi, March 18 -- Days after thieves decamped with jewellery worth around Rs.1 crore from a businessman's house in Shahdara, Delhi Police have arrested two people in connection with the theft.
Police said one of the arrested accused, identified as Suresh Malik, 21, was employed by the businessman as a house help only a few days before the theft. They said Malik gave a forged Aadhar ID card for police verification.
DCP (Shahdara) Prashant Gautam said multiple teams were put on the case and over 100 CCTVs were scanned. "Raids were conducted in Lado Sarai after we managed to track one of the SIM cards used by the accused. We then arrested Malik. Based on his confession, his co-accused Rohit Kumar, 29, was also held."
