India, March 2 -- Former United States Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice suggested during an interview with MSNBC that the Donald Trump-Volodymyr Zelenskyy meeting was a "setup." She also told host Nicolle Wallace that she was "embarrassed" by Trump's clash with the Ukrainian President.

"It's a very sad day and an embarrassment for the United States on the world stage. But let's step back and analyze what's happened here. I think there's no question that this was a setup," Rice said.

Rice also claimed that the "setup" was done to appease Russian President Valdimir Putin.
