India, Nov. 29 -- Traffic along the Narhe-Navale Bridge corridor came to a standstill on Friday after entry was closed from the bypass highway into Narhe for the last two days as part of a new diversion plan. The closure has resulted in long queues of vehicles on the service road starting from the Swaminarayan Temple, forcing all inbound traffic to funnel through a single, narrow stretch.

Residents say the diversion was introduced abruptly and without adequate traffic management, further worsening congestion in an area already known for heavy traffic and frequent accidents.
