India, Sept. 8 -- The Tennessee Titans and the Denver Broncos NFL game on Sunday was delayed due to lightning in the Denver area.
The weather delay was announced after the two teams had entered the locker room for halftime. "Severe lighting activity is present in the area. The game has been delayed. Seek shelter in the concourse area," the message in the Empower Field at Mile High stadium said.
Under NFL rules, play cannot resume until 30 minutes after the last lightning strike within a 10-mile radius, with the clock resetting per detection. The game, however, resumed shortly after the delay was announced. Denver got the opening possession of the second-half kickoff at 6:53 pm ET.
The Broncos were lead 10-9 after two quarters of play....
