new delhi, March 29 -- A Delhi Police constable was shot during an exchange of fire with three suspects in west Delhi's Tilak Nagar early Friday. Constable Sandeep Singh sustained bullet wounds to his hand and abdomen but survived. Despite the attack, police managed to arrest two suspects while a third escaped.

The suspects were allegedly involved in a recent armed robbery in Sultanpuri. According to police, a 36-year-old man was walking in a park when he scolded a group for causing a nuisance. Enraged, they followed him in a car, slashed his thigh with a knife, and robbed him at gunpoint, taking Rs.5,000, his wallet, and phone before fleeing.
