India, Dec. 22 -- Bharat NCAP has announced that it is extending the safety rating of the Harrier and Safari to the new petrol variants. The Safari Petrol will be sold in Smart, Pure X, Adventure X+, Adventure X and Accomplished Ultra variants, whereas the Harrier will come in Smart, Adventure X, Adventure X+, Fearless X, Fearless X+ and Fearless Ultra variants.

Back in 2023, the Harrier and Safari were tested by Bharat NCAP. In fact, they were the first cars to be tested by the agency. The SUVs scored 30.08/ 32 in Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) and 44.54 / 49.00 in Child Occupant Protection (COP). Now, the same rating will be applicable to the petrol versions of the Harrier and Safari as well.
