New Delhi, April 7 -- A number of schools run by the Delhi government and Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) across the city are yet to receive textbooks for some classes even as the new academic session kicked off almost a week ago, officials in the schools have alleged.
The 2025-26 academic session started on April 1 in Delhi government schools and MCD primary schools.
The delay is despite a May 2024 Delhi high court warning to the Directorate of Education (DoE) for the failure to supply textbooks to students in government schools in time last year.
