India, Jan. 16 -- That India is being able to maintain more than a modicum of internal stability amidst a world that is going up in flames has become a cliche of sorts in the past year.
The latter part is of course true. Barring the small continent of Australia, there isn't one place in the world which isn't going through extreme turbulence. The Americans are dealing with deeply destabilising interventions by President Donald Trump both inside and outside the US. His economic actions are, of course, sending shock waves beyond the continent.
