Tejashwi's '243 seats' remark creates ripples in INDIA bloc
Patna, Sept. 15 -- Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav's remarks of "contesting all 243 seats" in Bihar assembly polls fuelled speculations of rift within the Opposition INDIA bloc amid the crucial seat-sharing talks among the alliance partners, including the Congress and other Left parties.
"Whether it is Kanti seat, Bochaha, Muzaffarpur or Minapur seat, understand that Tejashwi is contesting all 243 seats," Yadav said at an event in Muzaffarpur on Saturday. Among the four seats named by Yadav, Muzaffarpur is held by the Congress.
While the RJD has been vocal about Yadav as their CM face, the Congress has maintained that the alliance was yet to take a call. However, both RJD and Congress denied any rift within the alliance.
