India, March 8 -- A 38-year-old taxi driver died on Friday after he was allegedly beaten by five men over a parking dispute in Kolkata's Jadavpur area on Tuesday night, police said. No arrests had been made at the time of this report.

The deceased taxi driver, Jayanta Sen, a resident of Bijoygarh, reportedly suffered internal hemorrhaging in his abdomen and was taken to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on Friday morning, according to his family.
