India, June 13 -- Expressing its grief over the casualties after Air India's flight from Ahmedabad to London crashed shortly after take off, the airline's owner the Tata Group said it would provide a compensation of Rs.1 crore to the families of each of the dead.

AI 171 crashed in a ball of fire with over 230 passengers and 12 crew on board.
