NEW DELHI, Dec. 9 -- Tata Advanced Systems and US firm Lockheed Martin on Monday announced the groundbreaking of a new defence MRO (maintenance, repair and overhaul) facility in Bengaluru to support the Indian Air Force's existing fleet of 12 C-130J special operations aircraft as well as those operated by other air forces. The construction will finish by the end of 2026 and the facility expects to receive the first C-130J for MRO operations in early 2027, the two companies said in a statement.
