New Delhi, April 23 -- US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer has "welcomed" India's "constructive engagement" in ongoing trade talks following Monday's meeting between Vice President JD Vance and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi, emphasising the strategic nature of bilateral engagements that also involve military and technology partnership.

"I am pleased to confirm that USTR and India's ministry of commerce and industry have finalised the terms of reference to lay down a roadmap for the negotiations on reciprocal trade," Greer said in a statement.
