New Delhi, May 16 -- The Directorate of Education (DoE) on Thursday directed Delhi Public School, Dwarka, to immediately reinstate 32 students struck off the rolls over unpaid fee, calling the move a violation of court orders. Citing a recent inspection, the DoE said the school sent students home without parental consent and withheld admit cards over fee disputes. "No child should suffer because of a difference over fee," the DoE said, noting the matter is pending in the Delhi high court. The action follows the HC's April 16 directive barring the school from isolating or discriminating against students unable to pay revised fees.
