Hyderabad, Nov. 18 -- The Telangana cabinet, chaired by chief minister A Revanth Reddy, on Monday decided to conduct the elections to the gram panchayats with the old reservation policy, which restricts the reservations to the other backward classes (OBCs) only to 25%. State information and public relations minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy told reporters after the cabinet meeting that the state government had made sincere efforts to provide 42% reservations to the OBCs in the local body elections and even enacted legislation to that effect.
