surrogacy racket busted in t'gana, 2 arrested: police
Hyderabad, Aug. 16 -- A major racket of commercial surrogacy and illegal human egg trading, allegedly operated in collusion with several fertility centres in Hyderabad, was busted, police said on Friday, adding that eight people have been arrested in connection with the incident.
Cyberabad DCP N Koti Reddy told reporters that a special police team from Pet Basheerabad police station conducted a raid on the premises of the accused in the presence of the district medical and health officer. "During the operation, the accused persons involved in commercial surrogacy and illegal human egg trade were arrested," he said.
