India, Feb. 24 -- The stock market fell into the red as the trading session for the week began on Monday, February 24. Real estate, Midsmall IT and telecom, and media stocks dropped the most.

At 9:20 am IST, the benchmark BSE Sensex was down 536.17 points or 0.71%, reaching 74,774.89. The broader NSE Nifty opened 161.80 points down or 0.71% in the red, reaching 22,634.10.

Among the 30 Sensex stocks, Zomato fell the most by 2.04%, trading at Rs.225.55. This was followed by HCL Technologies, which fell 1.52%, trading at Rs.1,674.95, and Power Grid Corporation of India, which fell by 1.38%, trading at Rs.258.15

Only 5 of the 30 Sensex stocks were in the green.
