India, Sept. 23 -- The state urban development department has proposed a new provision in the Unified Development Control and Promotion Regulations (UDCPR) to facilitate the construction of integrated sports complexes in cities across Maharashtra, excluding Mumbai. The regulation, framed under the Maharashtra Regional and Town Planning Act, 1966, is aimed at creating international-standard facilities to host national and international sports events.
