India, Sept. 10 -- The Maharashtra government has sanctioned Rs.326.76 crore for building a stormwater drainage system in 16 villages newly merged into the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), officials said on Tuesday.

The approval was issued on September 3, 2025, through a government resolution (GR) by the state urban development department (UDD) under the Centre's AMRUT (Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation) 2.0.

As per the funding structure, the central government will provide Rs.80.94 crore, with the state counterpart contributing an equal amount. The balance will be borne by PMC.
