Chandigarh, July 29 -- The Nayab Singh Saini-led BJP government on Monday removed Vikas Barala from the post of assistant advocate general for Haryana days after his appointment stirred a row over his alleged involvement in the 2017 Varnika Kundu stalking case. Barala, the son of Rajya Sabha member and former Haryana BJP chief Subhash Barala, was yet to join the post and his appointment was part of a broader recruitment of 100 law officers, which was officially notified on July 18.
