small number of drones seen in J&K, Punjab
Jammu/Jalandhar/Amritsar, May 13 -- A small number of drones were sighted above Samba town in Jammu and Kashmir and Jalandhar in Punjab on Monday night, triggering precautionary blackout orders in parts of the Union Territory and neighbouring Punjab.
The development - which came hours after Prime Minister Narendra Modi's address to the nation - also led to a Delhi-Amritsar flight on Monday evening returning to the national capital shortly before it was scheduled to land in Amritsar.
There was no official statement on the drone sightings, or the possibility of a violation of the ceasefire understanding between India and Pakistan, till the time of going to print.
