Sitharaman begins 3-day Nagaland visit
KOHIMA, Nov. 14 -- Union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman arrived in Nagaland on Thursday on a three-day visit. Chief minister Neiphiu Rio, who received Sitharaman at the Dimapur Airport, said that the state looked forward to her guidance in strengthening developmental initiatives and economic growth.
After a brief halt in Dimapur, the Union minister flew to Kiphire, the central government's "aspirational district" in Nagaland, and reviewed ongoing development projects.
Later in the day, Sitharaman visited the District Hospital Kiphire and handed over Corporate Social Responsibility contributions from the State Bank of India to the medical establishment. She also flagged off the multi-utility bike ambulances at the District Hospital and ...
