Resuming the day on 63/1, India lost two wickets - of Sai Sudharsan and captain Shubman Gill - but KL Rahul and Dhruv Jurel took the team over the line in 17 more overs. The outcome of this Test match or the series was never in question - India were supposed to wrap things up quickly. They did so in Ahmedabad, getting the win inside three days, but things stretched till Day 5 in Delhi. The reason was India's decision to enforce the follow-on, an art that is slowly fading away from Test cricket.
