Prayagraj, Dec. 5 -- : The construction of the six-lane bridge over the Ganga at Shringverpur Dham has been delayed by three months. The bridge, earlier planned for completion in February 2026, is now expected to be ready by May 2026, according to the National Highway Division of the Public Works Department (PWD). Officials said the delay happened because prolonged monsoon flooding stopped work on the pillars for nearly three-and-a-half months. Water levels were too high and currents were strong, making construction unsafe.
