India, Aug. 19 -- Shreyas Iyer's omission from the Asia Cup 2025 squad has drawn sharp scrutiny towards the All India Selection Committee. Despite his exquisite form in ODIs and IPL 2025, the stylish batter did not find a place in the main squad or even among the reserves for the multi-nation tournament in the UAE. With his exclusion, the team management has sent a clear message that he is not in their scheme of things for the next year's T20 World Cup, with the likes of Riyan Parag chosen over him in the reserves.
