India, June 2 -- The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) came down hard on Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians' captains Shreyas Iyer and Hardik Pandya after the duo were found guilty of breaching the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 Code of Conduct during Qualifier 2 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Both teams maintained a slow over-rate, and hence, Shreyas and Hardik Pandya had to pay fines.
This is the second time in the 18th edition of the T20 tournament that Punjab Kings were found guilty of maintaining a slow-over rate. Hence, Shreyas Iyer has been slapped with a fine of INR 24 lakh.
The rest of the PBKS team will be charged either INR 6 lakh or 25 per cent of their match fees, whichever is lesser.
