New Delhi, April 17 -- A Delhi court will decide on Thursday a plea seeking the release of a flat from police possession, where Aftab Poonawalla allegedly murdered and dismembered his live-in partner, Shraddha Walkar, three years ago.
In his plea, the landlord of the first-floor flat in Mehrauli's Chhattarpur Pahadi requested the return of his property, arguing that the charge sheet has been filed and the trial is nearing its conclusion. He stated that all material evidence and photographs are already part of the case record.
However, Delhi Police opposed the plea, citing the possibility of a future court inspection under Section 310 of the CrPC, which allows a judge to visit the crime scene before the trial ends. Poonawalla allegedly dis...
