Dehradun, Jan. 22 -- Union home minister Amit Shah on Wednesday said that Sanatan Dharma cannot be protected through aggression, but through logic, knowledge and scriptural wisdom.
Shah was speaking at Rishikesh during the centenary celebrations of Kalyan, the flagship monthly spiritual magazine of Gita Press, Gorakhpur. To mark the occasion, the 100th special edition of Kalyan was released. The magazine began its publication in 1926.
"Gita Press has shown us that Sanatan Dharma is not protected by noise, but by logic and scriptures. Civilisations are not built with swords, but with words and knowledge, and words are effective only when they shine with truth," Shah said.
