India, June 30 -- Several workers have been killed after a suspected reactor explosion caused a fire in a chemical factory in Telangana. As per officials, the incident took place at the Sigachi Chemical Industry in Pashamylaram on Monday.
"The incident took place at Sigachi Pharma Company, Pasamailaram Phase 1. Eleven fire tenders have reached the site. Nearly 15-20 people have been injured. Further details awaited," Telangana Fire Officials told reporters.
While Hindustan Times confirmed at least eight people were killed, local media has stated at least 10 workers have been killed in the blast.
Earlier on, news agency PTI also reported that 10 workers had been killed in the blast. However, an official confirmation is awaited.
