Bhopal, Feb. 20 -- A 41-year-old serial rapist, who had served 10-year jail term for raping a minor and was acquitted in another rape case after receiving capital punishment from a trial court, was arrested for a third time in over two decades for allegedly raping a differently abled girl, who died during treatment in Rajgarh district of Madhya Pradesh, police said on Wednesday.
Ramesh Khati, a resident of Shajapur in Madhya Pradesh, was arrested from Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday, Rajgarh superintendent of police Aditya Mishra said.
According to the senior officer, Khati confessed to brutally raping the speech and hearing-impaired girl at Narsinghgarh town in Rajgarh earlier this month.
