India, Feb. 8 -- From April 2025, official bank websites will end with .bank.in and official websites of financial entities will end with .fin.in, the RBI announced on Friday. This will help curb fraud as it will help customers sift through genuine and non-genuine websites. Similar URLs (for instance, sbl.com instead of SBI.com to confuse users between small 'l' and capital 'i') are used by scammers to lure people to fake websites where they are then defrauded.
