New Delhi, Feb. 5 -- The Supreme Court on Tuesday said that "strong measures" to oust persons who have monopolised sports bodies for personal gain cannot come at the cost of players losing out on representing the sport at international events.
Hearing a petition filed by two women kabaddi players seeking steps to lift the de-affiliation of the Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India (AKFI) to enable their participation at an international event in Iran later this month, the top court directed the Centre to explore diplomatic channels for resolving the issue.
