New Delhi, Aug. 7 -- The Supreme Court on Wednesday underlined the need to have a single window clearance for diversion of ridge land in Delhi, directing the Centre to come up with a concrete proposal to create a uniform authority within two months. The court directed the Union government to consult all stakeholders-including the Delhi government and the Central Empowered Committee (CEC), the expert body assisting the court on environmental matters-and submit the proposal by October 8. "No time beyond two months will be granted," the bench said.
