new delhi, March 19 -- The Supreme Court on Monday refused to entertain an application by Adani Power seeking late payment surcharge (LPS) of over Rs.1,300 crore from Rajasthan power distribution companies and imposed a cost of Rs.50,000 on the firm for moving an application for clarification after the issue was settled by a judgment of the top court in August 2020.

"We are of the view that a miscellaneous application is not the proper legal recourse," a bench of justices Aniruddha Bose and Sanjay Kumar said. "A relief of this nature cannot be asked in an application seeking clarification...We dismiss the application with cost of Rs. 50,000 to be paid to Supreme Court Legal Aid Committee."

Adani Power had not filed a review petition again...
