India, July 18 -- The Supreme Court on Thursday questioned the Karnataka high court's decision to grant bail to Kannada actor Darshan in the murder case of his fan, Renukaswamy, observing that the high court appeared to be "panting for reasons" to release the actor. A bench of justices JB Pardiwala and R Mahadevan expressed strong reservations about the reasoning adopted by the high court, indicating that it seemed to be scouting for grounds to justify bail rather than applying settled legal principles.P11
