New Delhi, Dec. 2 -- The Supreme Court on Monday said it cannot "sit idle" when the air pollution "crisis" looms large over Delhi and the adjoining National Capital Region (NCR), directing the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) to present an evaluation of the directives issued by the statutory body and their "real effect on the ground". "This is an issue common to Delhi and the entire NCR. None of us can sit idle with an assumption that this problem or crisis will go away on its own.
