New Delhi, June 7 -- The Supreme Court on Friday cancelled the bail granted to former Karnataka minister and Congress MLA Vinay R Kulkarni in the Yogesh Goudar murder case after being convinced that he contacted witnesses and influenced them during trial, amounting to a clear violation of the bail condition imposed by the top court. The top court passed the order on a petition filed by CBI probing the 2016 murder of Goudar, a BJP leader and the then Dharwad zilla panchayat member. Kulkarni, presently a member of the Karnataka assembly, obtained bail from the Supreme Court on August 11, 2021.
