PRAYAGRAJ, July 26 -- The Allahabad high court has granted bail to Zafar Ali, the president of Shahi Jama Masjid in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, who was arrested in connection with a violence that broke out during a survey of the mosque in November last year. The violence led to the deaths of four people. The single bench of justice Sameer Jain passed the above order on Thursday. Ali, who is also a lawyer, was arrested on March 23 on charges of inciting violence during the survey.
