Panchkula, April 20 -- Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini on Saturday inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for multiple development projects in Panchkula worth over Rs.55.38 crore, aimed at transforming it into a smart city.
The highlight of the event was the inauguration of a Rs.50 crore bridge over the Ghaggar river. Spanning 360m in length and 16m in width, the bridge is a key component of the PR-7 Ring Road and is expected to improve connectivity to Zirakpur, Rajpura, Patiala and the Chandigarh airport, easing traffic congestion and cutting travel time.
