Singapore, Feb. 18 -- Singapore's leader of the opposition was convicted on Monday on two counts of lying under oath to a parliamentary committee with the judge handing down fines that saw the politician dodge a ban from contesting in a national election this year. The case against Pritam Singh, 48, was centered on his testimony in 2021 to a parliament committee probing a former lawmaker who lied in parliament about a sexual assault case. P19
